Investigating Foreign Language Learning Anxiety: A Case of French Students in Ghana

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate foreign language learning anxiety amongst French students in Ghana.
 Methodology: adopted a desktop methodology. Desk research refers secondary data or that which can be collected without fieldwork. basically involved collecting from existing resources hence it often considered low cost technique as compared field research, the main executive’s time, telephone charges and directories. Thus, relied on already published studies, reports statistics. This was easily accessed through online journals library.
 Findings: findings revealed there exists contextual methodological gap relating investigating among Ghana. Preliminary empirical review reveals French-speaking at Ghanaian educational institutions suffer moderate anxiety. Because system distinct their own English system, may source Pre-university exposure language, particularly elementary school, assist reduce degree.
 Unique Contribution Theory, Practice Policy: Horwitz, Horwitz Cope’s Theory. Cognitive theory Krashen’s Affective Filter Theory used anchor future studies will beneficial EFL teachers other relevant stakeholders establishing policies strategies create conducive environment allow learners have an easy time acquisition language.
